Do you have any animal companions? Of course! My first fur baby is Waffles. He's a five year old silver-mitt ferret & I want him to live forever. My second is Meatball. He's a dark sable. The first time I saw him he poked his head out of a bowling ball bag. My third ferret is Carl Sagan but she's a girl. I fell in love with her on Valentine's day & scooped her up and bought her. I also have a dumb vanilla cupcake of a dog with an underbite named Maximilian “Hoddog” von Ünterbeit. He knows how to sit & speak but can't catch a treat. Every time I throw it at him, it just hits him in the face. He's a gem.
Tell us about Hellscape
What does hellscape mean to you? A dark basement in an abandoned house filled with cobwebs at face level & all you can hear is the crackling hold music of your local pharmacy. Thank you for your patience.
How does hellscape relate to hellscape press? In any & every way you could possibly imagine and then multiply that by infinity & divide by pi.
What is important about hellscape press to you? I want to see Hellscape bring together a community of artists molding their mediums & questioning everything ordinary & then lighting that on fire putting that fire out with a kiddie pool full of grape Jello.
Something Fun? (Always.)
What are you reading right now? Behind the Beautiful Forevers, The Peterson Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants, A “writing by example” nonfiction book with a bunch of cool essays, and some poetry books for class I haven't started yet that I'll have to read this weekend.
How do you spend your “free time”? Watching the trashiest reality television I can get my hands on. Right now I'm enjoying old seasons of Intervention and the past two chicks haven't accepted treatment! I've never seen that and I was so curious if it ever happened.
What is one thing you can’t live without (that isn’t air or water)? Language
Something that gives your life meaning? Also, language
What are your plans for the future? ??????!!!!!!??????
